Funding Your Teacher Training
Teacher training in England is supported by the Department for Education (DfE).
If you are applying for a Postgraduate Certificate of Education (PGCE) route, whether through the University of York (Primary or Secondary),Polaris – York St John, or Leeds Trinity, you may be entitled to financial support.
Postgraduate Funding
If you are training through a PGCE, you may be able to access:
- Postgraduate student finance to help with tuition fees and living costs
- DfE training bursaries or scholarships (available in certain priority subjects)
Important to note:
- All funding support is provided through the Department for Education and Student Finance England, not through NPCAT.
