Today we keep the pupils, staff, families and governors of St Benedict's primary school Ampleforth and St Benedict's primary school, Redcar in our prayers as today is the feast of St Benedict.

Loving God, fill us with the wisdom and compassion of Saint Benedict. Help us to hear Your voice calling us to love and respect one another. As Saint Benedict taught, help us to value the voice of every person, even if they can no longer speak to us in words. Help us to listen “with the ears of our heart,” so we may respond to the needs of those around us with love and compassion. May the kindness and respect we show others help them to see how precious they are in Your eyes and bring them healing, courage, and joy. We ask this in your holy name, amen.

We are delighted to welcome Karen Siedle as Interim CEO of Nicholas Postgate Catholic Academy Trust.

Karen brings with her over 33 years of experience in Catholic education as a teacher, headteacher, diocesan inspector, deputy CEO and most recently as interim CEO of St Cuthbert’s Roman Catholic Academy Trust in the southern deanery of our Diocese.

Her deep commitment to Catholic values and her lifelong service to education make her ideally placed to lead our Trust through this next chapter.

We offer Karen our prayers and very best wishes as she begins her new role, and we look forward to working together in faith, service and mission.

Best wishes Karen, on her new appointment. In my opinion NPCAT has grown far to big and created many internal problems not least those frustrations in the schools in the York area who went on strike complaining of inequality especially in regards to fundings. As an ex NPCAT board director I believe that the value of creating the trust was misguided IMO and the comparison between the Local Authority and NPCAT benefits is hard to find. In forming NPCAT local foundation Governors were replaced on the board by quote “ persons with a business acumen” I have no doubt that Karen will give everything into her new role and change things for the better sincerely hoping she receives 100% support from new board.

Congratulations 👏

Huge congratulations

Have you downloaded and set up the new NPCAT app yet?

The app is designed to make school life easier for parents and carers. Currently for managing payments, with more features being introduced from September, you’ll still use your existing ParentPay login.

If you’ve received your enrolment email from Weduc, simply search for "NPCAT" in your app store, download the app and follow the instructions to get started.

If you’re having trouble downloading, enrolling or using the app:

Need help? Contact your child’s school or visit:

🎉 Congratulations to all our Year 11 pupils!

All NPCAT secondary schools have now completed their GCSE exams – and we couldn’t be prouder of the determination, focus and resilience shown throughout.

You have carried yourself with grace and determination. Whatever your next steps, know that you go forward with the love and prayers of your school community.

From the first paper to the final bell, you’ve demonstrated what it means to be hardworking, positive and committed. Now it’s time to rest, reflect and enjoy a well-earned break – you’ve earned it!

To our incredible staff and families, thank you for your unwavering support every step of the way.
