Trinity Sixth Form in Middlesbrough is celebrating another strong set of results, continuing a clear upward trend, with average points per entry increasing for the third consecutive year.

STEM subjects performed particularly well, with students achieving a 96% pass rate across Biology, Chemistry, Engineering and Physics. Engineering students secured an average grade of Distinction, while A Level Mathematics outcomes improved by a full grade on average. Students also achieved the highest possible A* grades in Biology and Chemistry. Strong results were recorded across the wider curriculum, with average B grades in A Level Religious Studies and English Language and Literature. BTEC Sport students achieved on average a Distinction, while Extended Project Qualification results ranged from B to A*.

Michael Blair, headteacher at Trinity Catholic College, praised the dedication and hard work of students and staff.

Head of sixth form Phillip Scarr added: “We are delighted with the achievements of our young people. These qualifications provide a springboard to higher education, further training, apprenticeships or employment, giving every student a clear path to a positive future.”

ISAAC CELEBRATES A LEVEL SUCCESS AND A FUTURE IN MEDICINE

Trinity Sixth Form student Isaac Diallo has plenty to celebrate after achieving an exceptional set of A Level results.
Isaac secured A* grades in Biology, Chemistry and Psychology, marking the culmination of two years of hard work and dedication. He is now set to take the next step in his education, with plans to study Medicine at the University of Manchester. His success extended beyond his A Levels, with Isaac also achieving an A* in his Extended Project Qualification (EPQ). His project saw him produce an outstanding thesis exploring Charles Bonnet syndrome, demonstrating his passion for science and medicine. After excelling at Trinity Catholic College, Isaac chose to continue his education at T6 Sixth Form, where he has also made a significant contribution to sixth form life. His leadership qualities were recognised when he was elected head student. Isaac said: “Thank you so much to my teachers for supporting and guiding me along the way. I am excited about beginning my studies in medicine. Thank you to the T6 team.” His outstanding results provide a fitting end to his time at Trinity and an exciting start to the next chapter of his education.

T6 Sixth Form is celebrating the outstanding achievements of Pearl Sutton, who has secured an impressive set of A Level results.

Pearl achieved A* grades in English Language and English Literature, alongside an A grade in Religious Studies, reflecting her hard work and dedication throughout her studies. She also excelled in her Extended Project Qualification (EPQ), achieving an A* for her thesis exploring literature during the Harlem Renaissance. The project allowed Pearl to further develop her passion for literature and explore an important period of cultural and literary history. Pearl is now set to begin the next exciting chapter of her education, with plans to study English Literature at Durham University. Having previously attended Trinity Catholic College, Pearl chose to continue her post-16 education at T6 Sixth Form, where she has flourished academically. Pearl said: “Thank you to my teachers for all their support in getting me to my next step and for challenging me to push myself and reach my goals.” Her exceptional results are a fantastic achievement and provide a fitting conclusion to her time at Trinity as she looks forward to university and a bright future ahead.

 

T6 STUDENT LENNON CELEBRATES SUCCESS ON AND OFF THE PITCH

T6 Sixth Form student Lennon Worton is celebrating success both in the classroom and on the football pitch after an outstanding two years.

Lennon achieved a Triple Distinction Star (D* D* D*) in BTEC Sport – the highest possible grade in the qualification – reflecting his commitment and hard work throughout his studies. Alongside his academic achievements, Lennon has enjoyed considerable sporting success as a member of the T6 Football Academy. He helped the team lift two trophies in cup finals played at the home grounds of West Bromwich Albion and Stoke City FC, creating memories that will last long beyond his time at T6. Lennon will now take his next step in using his sporting talents to support children outside of mainstream education, while continuing to pursue his passion for football by playing semi-professionally for Thornaby FC. Lennon said: “T6 has provided me with the opportunity to develop both my football and academic interests and I have thoroughly enjoyed my time here. I will never forget playing at professional football stadiums – thank you to my teachers and coaches for their support.” His achievements on and off the pitch mark a fantastic end to his time at T6 and an exciting beginning to the next stage of his academic, professional and sporting journey.

 

BTEC SPORT SUCCESS SETS JULIA UP FOR BRIGHT FUTURE

T6 Sixth Form student Julia Pela is celebrating an impressive set of results after achieving D* D* D in BTEC Sport.

Julia is now looking forward to the next stage of her journey, as she prepares to study Physiotherapy at Teesside University. Having previously attended Trinity Catholic College, Julia chose to continue her post-16 education at T6 and joined the Sixth Form Football Academy, combining her academic studies with her passion for the sport. During her time at T6, Julia has made a valued contribution both on and off the pitch. Alongside representing the Football Academy, she has played an active role in the wider life of the college, including taking part in charitable fundraising initiatives supporting Trinity’s Catholic life and community. Her excellent BTEC Sport results are a fitting reward for her hard work, commitment and positive contribution throughout her time at T6. Julia said: “I am thankful to everyone at T6, especially the BTEC Sport department, for helping me reach my goals. The curriculum is of such a high standard and the support of my teachers has been amazing.”

T6 Sixth Form student Alex Gray is celebrating an excellent set of results as he prepares to take the next step towards an exciting career in the construction industry.

Alex achieved a Double Distinction (DD) in Engineering alongside a B grade in A Level Mathematics. His strong academic performance has provided the perfect springboard to begin a career as a quantity surveyor with Balfour Beatty. Alex joined T6 Sixth Form as a member of the Football Academy, combining his studies with his passion for the sport. During his time at T6, he enjoyed considerable success on the pitch, helping the team win two cup finals. His footballing journey is also set to continue beyond Sixth Form, with Alex playing semi-professionally for Thornaby FC. Alex said: “It has been an unbelievable two years and a massive stepping stone to further my career. Thanks to my coaches and teachers for everything they have done to help me.” His achievements in the classroom and on the football pitch are a fitting conclusion to his time at T6, as he looks forward to beginning his professional career while continuing to pursue his passion for football.
