NPCAT’s T6 Football Academy is celebrating an incredible achievement as three of its talented players—Joe Kennedy, Patrick McGowran, and Joel Neale have been selected to represent England Schoolboys following a rigorous selection process.
The trials, which began with 120 players from across England, saw the initial group narrowed down to just 30 players from the north and south before the final stage. On Sunday, 12th January, coaches and staff chose the final 18-player squad, and we’re proud to announce that three T6 players earned their place on this prestigious team.
Joel Neale: Goalkeeper, Squad No. 1, a second-year student at T6.

Patrick McGowran: Defender, Squad No. 6, a first-year student at T6.

Joe Kennedy: Midfielder, Squad No. 7, also a first-year student at T6.

A fourth T6 player narrowly missed out on selection, highlighting the exceptional talent being nurtured within the academy.
The England squad will kick off their campaign with a friendly against Australia on Friday, 24th January, at Hednesford Town FC. In the months ahead, they’ll face Scotland, Northern Ireland, and Wales, showcasing their skills on the international stage.
This remarkable achievement reflects the hard work and dedication of the players and the T6 Football Academy staff, who consistently provide world-class training and opportunities for young athletes.
Congratulations to Joe, Patrick, and Joel on this well-deserved honour, and best of luck as they represent England Schoolboys!
