NPCAT ASPIRE
At Nicholas Postgate Catholic Academy Trust, our core values of Nurturing, Perseverance, Courage, Ambition, Tolerance and Respect are at the heart of everything we do. We set high expectations to ensure that every pupil excels across all aspects of school life. Our intention is to ensure pupils make outstanding progress by removing any potential barriers to learning. We want our pupils to leave with knowledge and skills which will not only create excellent life opportunities but will also prepare them exceptionally well for life beyond our schools.
As part of our drive to raise student aspirations and foster a scholarly, academic ethos and love of learning for its own sake, we are excited to launch our NPCAT Aspire programme which will provide our pupils with high quality online learning opportunities beyond the normal school day. Through our NPCAT Aspire programme we are able to provide bespoke, high quality online learning opportunities drawing upon the wealth of subject expertise from across the Trust. This online timetable of Aspire classes is published on all school websites and Year 10 and Year 11 pupils from all of our schools are able to access all of the Aspire classes.
The NPCAT Aspire programme offers a broad range of subjects including English, maths, science, RE, history and French.
Each online Aspire session is an hour-long and begins at 4:00 pm on the assigned day. Lessons are delivered by expert subject teachers and include high quality resources and creative activities for pupils. All Year 10 and Year 11 pupils have been invited to the NPCAT Aspire Google Classroom where they will be able to access the Aspire sessions.
Joining Instructions
All Year 10 and 11 pupils have been sent an invitation to the Aspire Google Classroom, via their school email. The codes to join the classrooms have also been included in a letter to parents/carers about the launch of NPCAT Aspire. If you haven’t received the joining instructions, please see your form tutor, who should be able to help.
