“True education enables us to love life and opens us to the fullness of life.”

( Pope Francis 2014)

At Nicholas Postgate Catholic Academy Trust, we set high expectations to ensure that every pupil excels across all aspects of school life. Our intention is to ensure pupils make excellent progress by removing any potential barriers to learning. Our aim is to ensure that all pupils across our secondary schools leave with knowledge and skills which will not only create excellent life opportunities, but will also prepare them exceptionally well for life beyond school.

As part of our drive to raise pupil engagement and improve pupil progress and achievement ahead of the summer GCSE examinations,  we are launching a series of pre- recorded masterclasses and resources in various subjects to support pupils with their preparation and revision. These sessions will complement the work and revision provided by your child’s own school. The pre-recorded revision sessions will be delivered by our expert teachers from across the Trust. The sessions will be linked explicitly to the GCSE specifications and focus on the knowledge, content and skills that pupils will require for the examinations. There will be a focus on revision of specific topic areas , covering the different papers for each subject. Although these sessions are pre- recorded so that pupils can watch them at any time to suit their own revision, in order to help pupils organise their time, workload  and revision in the approach to the examinations we have suggested appropriate times to access each masterclass. A suggested timetable can be found for each subject below.
