As the oldest pupils in school and role models to our younger pupils, it was an honour to give Y11 the privilege of their new Y11 ties on Friday. They are modelled on ties worn historically by St Peter’s students.

Today we remember St Teresa Benedicta of the Cross, a brilliant philosopher, devoted Carmelite nun and courageous martyr. Born Edith Stein, she found her way to the Catholic faith through a deep search for truth, ultimately embracing Christ fully in her life and witness.
Her journey reminds us that faith and reason, intellect and love, can coexist beautifully. She teaches us courage in the face of injustice, the power of prayer and the importance of standing firm in truth - even when it costs everything.
On this feast day, let us pray for the grace to live with the same conviction and love, striving to see Christ in every person and to bring light to the darkness around us. ✨

Today we honour Blessed Nicholas Postgate, a humble Yorkshire priest and martyr, who faithfully served the Catholic faithful in secret during the penal times in England. Even in his old age, Fr Postgate risked everything to bring the sacraments to those in need - and was executed in 1679 for his steadfast love of Christ and His Church.
May his courage and pastoral charity inspire us to live our faith boldly, love selflessly and stand firm in truth. 🕊️
